My yellow Rotary bag for donation to the Kamloops Food Bank is ready!

While it’s vitally important at these difficult times to step up and help address hunger in our communities, I am keenly aware that this is a Band-Aid solution and a profound failure of government policy. It’s disgraceful that there is hunger in a country as wealthy as Canada and amidst enormous concentrations of wealth in the hands of a few. Charity is a virtue, not a substitute for responsible government policy. The failure of our national governments of the last 30 years is indicative of a moral and governance failure. I will work tirelessly to end hunger and have a national food policy. That is my unwavering commitment.
