COVID-19 Outbreaks and Exposures, April 26, 2021

Interior Health advises that there have been COVID exposures at two schools in Kamloops (SD 73):
** Bert Edwards Science and Technology School, with potential exposures on April 16 and 20.
** Westmount Elementary, with potential exposures on April 19 and 20.
There have been exposures at 19 schools in Kelowna (SD 23) and one in Vernon (SD 22).
Interior Health declared outbreaks at at Sandalwood Retirement Resort in Kelowna on April 23 and at Orchard Haven long-term care in Keremeos on April 24. The outbreak at Cottonwoods Care Centre in Kelowna, declared March 8, continues.
The COVID-19 outbreak at Kelowna General Hospital is over, as of April 21.
233,000 vaccinations had been administered in Interior Health as of April 19.
Although people over 40 are eligible for AstraZeneca vaccinations at a local pharmacy, according to the BC Pharmacy website, there is currently no supply. If you are on a wait list, you will be contacted when supply is available.
