Sunday September 22, 2019
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
United Church (421 St Paul St, Kamloops, BC, Canada)
The Kamloops South Thompson NDP Constituency Association will be hosting its Annual General Meeting on Sunday afternoon, 22 September, 2 – 5 pm, at the United Church downtown (421 St. Paul Street). We hope you can attend.
There are several important items on the agenda.
■ We must elect a new Executive (to take office January 1st).
■ We must consider amendments to our Constitution required by recent changes in Provincial election laws.
■ We will consider resolutions to be submitted to the up-coming NDP Provincial Convention, to be held in Victoria on November 22-24. (The deadline for submitting resolutions is September 23.)
■ Finally, we will be electing up to six delegates to attend the Convention. Some of these can come from our general membership (as long as they have been members for at least 90 days). Contact me for further information if you may be interested in attending.
Only current members can vote for the new Executive or on the new Constitution, and only those who have been members for at least 90 days can vote on Convention resolutions and delegates. If you have any questions about your membership status, or would like to renew your membership, please contact our Membership Organizer, Janet Northcott [firstname.lastname@example.org].
Concerning the new Constituency Constitution, major changes are few, and I will be describing them at the AGM. Please contact me if you would like an advance copy of the proposed changes, a copy of the current constitution, or a ‘track changes’ version which shows every change in detail.
Looking forward to seeing you on the 22nd!
Bill Roberts, President
